About that poet...
He was, indeed, a very nice man, and a Red Sox fan, no less. I'm obviously not him,
but I do know a few things about him, which I will not discuss (don't ask,
please), tho' some say there's a certain family resemblance between us. Instead,
I can direct you to a few pretty good resources.
The best current biography--one written by his granddaughter, a fine person herself--
is pretty decent. Here's a card image of it:
